About Saima
Congratulations on taking the first step toward better health! My journey into Nutrition began when I went back to school for Pharmacy, but it wasn’t long before I realized my heart was in disease prevention rather than managing it with medication. During my first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and that’s when it hit me—diabetes runs in my family. It sparked a desire to help others who are in the same boat. I became a diabetes educator and started teaching healthy eating at my local mosque, sharing what I had learned with my children, friends, and community. As I got older, I faced my own set of health challenges—weight gain, pre-diabetes, autoimmune issues, and gut troubles. Juggling a busy career and family life didn’t leave much time for self-care.
That’s when I discovered functional medicine, a holistic, root-cause approach that made me realize how important it was to prioritize my own health. Battling through these conditions, I saw firsthand how mental and physical health are so deeply connected. Gut testing helped me resolve my SIBO, and I became aware of how chronic stress was affecting me. With perimenopause and a back injury thrown into the mix, I knew I needed to take back control of my health. This journey led me to get certified in functional medicine and sleep coaching, and now I’m on a mission to bring this integrative approach to others—especially those who feel let down by standard medical care.
My health journey is still ongoing, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s how vital support is. That’s what I want to offer you—guidance and understanding as you navigate your own health journey. For moms especially, I always say: you have to put your own oxygen mask on first before you can take care of others. I’ve been there, and I get how challenging it can be to maintain a healthy lifestyle with everything else on your plate.
With years of experience and a deep commitment to helping others, I combine evidence-based practices with the wisdom of different cultures, believing in the power of food as medicine. My approach is holistic, looking at your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I don’t believe in diets or quick fixes. Instead, I focus on moderation, sustainability, and trusting that your body can return to balance with the right care—functional foods, a supportive lifestyle, good quality sleep and taking care of your mental health.
I’m here to provide non-judgmental, compassionate, personalized care that truly honors who you are—your values, culture, and beliefs. Together, we’ll work towards helping you feel better and live your best life!
