Ayurveda (pronounced eye-your-vay-duh) is a natural healing system from India that’s been practiced for more than 5,000 years. The word itself means “knowledge of life” in Sanskrit. Ayurveda looks at health in a whole-body way, aiming to bring balance between the mind, body, and spirit.

Made of: Fire + Water
Qualities: Hot, intense, sharp, oily

Out of balance: Irritable, heartburn, inflammation, acne

Qualities: Heavy, slow, stable, moist, grounded
